Personalized Complexity
The personalization of food according to new dimensions opens up new scopes in pricing and taps into new target groups. However, it causes an explosion of variant diversity and operational complexity. Adjusting processes, organization and technologies to manage these challenges will be crucial to maintaining growth and competitiveness.
Three tasks have particular priority:
- Increasing the agility of planning processes to meet new S&OP requirements and significantly increasing the speed of information. The use of intelligent digital tools offers effective approaches to master the increasing complexity.
- Increasing flexibility and shortening order-to-cash processes in order to be able to produce small batches efficiently and ensure delivery capability, taking into account MHD residual lead times and shortened order-delivery rhythms.
- Reorganization of distribution towards the sale of individual units and the adaptation of value creation processes.
