Successful supplier integration enables companies to optimize their supply chains, reduce costs, improve product quality and respond more flexibly to market changes. The term describes the process of closely linking suppliers with the internal processes of a company.

The aim is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. This includes integration aspects, such as technological, procedural, cultural, strategic integration or in connection with quality management. Methods/formats of supplier integration include, for example, joint development projects, investments in research and development or strategic alliances.
