Explanation: Modularization

In an industrial context, the term “modularization” is used to describe the division of a product or system into functionally independent and standardized modules. Companies can develop, test, manufacture and maintain these modules independently of each other. Overall, this improves flexibility, scalability, and efficiency along the entire value chain - for example due to shorter development times or better reusability of individual product components.
