Explanation: Extrusion

Technical process in which a material is pressed through a shaping opening (nozzle). The material (e.g. thermoplastic, metal or a food mass) takes on the shape of the nozzle and comes out as a strand. Extrusion is used in various industries, e.g. for the production of profiles, films, plastic pipes, metal rods, food or building materials.
