Explanation: Autonomous logistics

The term "autonomous logistics" refers to a concept in which logistical processes and systems run largely or completely independently - without human influence. Technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), robotics or sensors are used for this purpose.

Areas of responsibility include storage, transport, material flow and inventory management, which are planned, monitored and controlled using the technologies mentioned. Autonomous systems can react to real-time information, make decisions independently and adapt to new factors. One example is a fully automated warehouse in which AI and robots control the entire process from goods receipt to goods dispatch.
