Rudolf Colm

He studied economics at the Luigi Bocconi University of Economics in Milan, where he received his doctorate (Dr. rer. oec. pol.).

In 1976 Colm began his professional career at the Italian tyre and cable manufacturer Pirelli & C. SpA in Milan as a consultant for strategic planning and economic analyses. From the beginning of 1980 to mid-1983, Colm headed the Planning and Control, Finance department at AEG-Telefunken S.p.A. in Milan.

In 1983 Colm moved to Robert Bosch GmbH S.p.A., Milan, Italy, where he initially worked as Head of Planning and Control, Reporting, Accounting, Financing, Tax and Legal Affairs. From 1988 he was Head of Economic Coordination, Finance, Organization and Coordination. Since 1997 Colm has been with Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, Head of the Central Sales Marketing Department, became Provisional Head of the Central Sales Department in 1998 and Managing Director for Commercial Tasks and Commercial Products Sales in 1999 at Robert Bosch S.p.A., Milan/Italy.

In January 2004, Colm became one of the ten managing directors of Robert Bosch GmbH. As such, he is responsible for the coordination of activities in the Asia-Pacific region and for the central purchasing / logistics and insurance departments. He is also responsible for Bosch's regional subsidiary in Italy.
